If you want to use a spreadsheet to track the responses you receive in VideoAsk, you can send response data to Google Sheets.
Once connected, a new row will automatically be added to your Google Sheet every time you receive a new response to your videoask.

Connect your videoask to Google Sheets
Note: Sheet columns will align with the number and order of steps saved when the connection is set up. If you add or change the order of steps in your videoask, you will need to disconnect and reconnect to a new sheet (and copy/paste to reorganize old data accordingly).
Log in to your VideoAsk account and from your videoask, click Connect.
Scroll down the list of integrations until you see Google Sheets. Click Connect.
Click New authentication.
This will open a pop-up window where you will be prompted to sign in or select your Google account. Select which Google account you want to use.
You will now be prompted to authorize the connection between VideoAsk and Google. Click Allow.
Once permission has been granted, the pop-up window will close. In VideoAsk, click Next.
You have the option of sending your responses to an existing Google Sheet or creating a new one. Select which option you want to use from the dropdown menu.
If you have selected to create a new Sheet, give your Sheet a name.
Click Finish.
That's it! Now any new responses you receive to your videoask will create a new row in the Google Sheet you have selected.
Note: Responses will appear in a secondary tab on your sheet. If you have selected an existing sheet upon setup, the data in your primary sheet (the first tab) will not be overwritten.
If you want to stop sending responses to Google Sheets, just click Disconnect at any time.

FAQ
I've already received responses to my videoask before connecting it to Google Sheets. Now that I've set up the integration, why aren't all my responses (old and new) showing up?
Once you've connected your videoask to a Google Sheet, the data from any new responses you receive will be added to it. However, any data from responses received before connecting to Google Sheets will not be pulled through. To combine old and new data on the same sheet, you will need to:
1. Connect your videoask following the steps above
2. Export your old responses as a .csv file
3. Copy/paste your old data into the sheet where your new data is being delivered
Note: If you have rearranged or changed any of your step options during this time, the columns of your old data and new data will not be exactly the same. To merge these datasets you will need to manually adapt your old data to the format of your new sheet (the one that's currently connected to your videoask). Do not change the title of the columns of your sheet as this will break the connection (see below).
I edited the column titles and the name of the sheet and now my responses aren't appearing in my Google Sheet. How can I fix this?
Changing the name of a column or sheet will break the connection between your videoask and Google Sheets. To resolve this, you will need to disconnect and reconnect to a new sheet (and copy/paste old data to merge datasets accordingly).
I added a new step to my videoask and it's not appearing in my Google Sheet. How can I fix this?
Sheet columns will align with the number and order of steps saved when the connection is set up. If you add or change the order of steps in your videoask, you will need to disconnect and reconnect to a new sheet for all of your step data to appear (and copy/paste to reorganize old data accordingly).
I've added variables to my videoask URL. Will they appear in my Google Sheet?
Currently, this integration supports the following variables:
- contact_name
- contact_email
- contact_phone_number
At the moment, it's not possible to pull through custom variables to your Google Sheet (but we're working on it so watch this space). However, you can export your responses to a .csv or .xlsx file or connect to Google Sheets with Zapier to pull through custom variables. Check out our guide on how to use Zapier to send videoask responses with custom variables to Google Sheets.
I've added scoring to my videoask. Will respondents' scores appear in my Google Sheet?
At the moment it's not possible to pull through respondents' scores to your Google Sheet.
